Who We Are

The john w. rash jr VFW post 9679 is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from active, Guard, and Reserve forces. Founded in 1899 and chartered by Congress in 1936, we are the nation's largest organization of war veterans and its oldest major veterans organization

To my brothers and sisters who have worn the uniform of the United States Military—I know the sacrifice, the dedication, and the unique bond that comes with service. On behalf of Post 9679, and from my own heart, I offer a sincere thank you to each and every one of you.

Your service is the bedrock of our nation's security and prosperity. You answered the call, and your sacrifice ensures the liberties we cherish. We recognize the profound experiences you carry, and we want you to know that here at Post 9679, you have a family who understands. Welcome home.
